Brandon & Renee plus Coco & Nathan
Travelling West Virginia, Visiting All the State Parks, Making Mistakes, Finding the Best Our State Parks Have To Offer
Brandon was raised on a working farm near the Ohio River, spending long summers waiting for his annual family camping trips to Watoga State Park. Renee was raised right in front of Bluestone Dam (her father managed the dam). It was the most picturesque childhood you could imagine. Many of her memories are from days spent at numerous WV state parks and nights spent in amphitheaters. As parents, they have passed these traditions on to their children; Lauren, now grown and on her own and Nathan, 15, always there with fishing pole in tow. Coco, the baby of the family goes on every trip– she can’t survive with out her Mommy. Sometimes walking, sometimes being carried, sometimes in her carrier, even in an inner tube going down a river this little Pomeranian is never left behind. Brandon is a massage therapist specializing in deep tissue. Renee, an esthetician, full-time owner of a cosmetic company and services esthetic clientele in her studio part time. Nathan is currently entering his first year of high school enjoying all of the current “distance learning” benefits. And Coco is the Mayor of Mud River Road keeping everyone aware of the local “goings on”. During their annual family camping trip to Watoga State Park in 2018 they decided to launch this blog to…
- Promote WV State Parks
- Share about each park (including the best sites and rooms)
- Have an excuse to travel
- Keep you informed about future WVSP events
- Encourage you to get out and enjoy the local areas around each park
